　　为了避免家人看穿自己想长期单身的念头，彼得（迈克尔·尤瑞饰）说服他最好的朋友尼克（菲利蒙·钱伯斯饰）和他一起过节，并假装他们正在交往中。但当彼得的母亲（凯茜·纳基麦饰）安排彼得与她英俊的健身教练詹姆斯（卢克·马可法莱恩饰）相亲后，整个计划都被打乱了。
