在法兰克福出差的达恩 ;克里斯滕森Dan Kristensen（克劳斯 ;坦格饰），回到布鲁塞尔后现代主义艺术风格装饰的豪华时尚公寓，发现最近还通过电话的未婚妻埃德薇热Edwige（西尔维娅 t;卡马达饰）突然消失得无影无踪，并且丝毫没有打算离家的任何迹象。他试图通过神秘的邻居们或是警察帮忙，同时自己也开始调查他心爱的女人失踪的原因。她是想远离他，还是死了？达恩想很弄明白，然而从那个时候起，他的生活就变成了噩梦，难以解锁对女人们性感和流血的奇怪幻想，深陷在自己调查无果以及脑海里常现受折磨的男人/女人的痛苦状态中。不幸的是，达恩并不察觉，他越接近揭开真相的那一刻，就越有生命危险......

Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
