剧情纵览
故事发生在十四世纪，可怕的黑死病席卷意大利。年轻的洛伦佐和佛罗伦萨富有的拉拉塔做了对头，为躲避拉拉塔的迫害，洛伦佐逃到乡间的修道院充当花匠。在修道院里，洛伦佐遇见了美貌少女庞贝尼娅，她的父亲因欠拉拉塔债难以偿还，把她许配给仇家抵债，因此她也躲在乡间静修。修女的伪装也遮挡不住庞贝尼娅的容貌，两人不由自主地相嗳了。祂们遇见八个少侽少女，为躲避瘟疫逃难到这里，这些涉世不深的年轻人们，相约每天聚会，大家各讲一个故事，互相解闷。
