Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　港岛东区警署刑事侦缉组由Madam雷（刘嘉玲饰）率领，全组皆是女警，所以有“靓女差馆”之称。另一警局的警员生啤（陈奕迅饰）和沙爹（林晓峰饰）在一次行动中，得由Madam雷率领的众靓女CID帮忙而保存性命，对众美女一见难忘，两遂主动申请调职，走后门调到靓女差馆，以接近众女警并展开追求。　　生、沙二人身处美女群中，本应十分过瘾，可惜就在他俩加入之时，爆破专家火牛以炸弹恐吓靓女差馆，生、沙二人险丧命，警署上下全体陷入炸弹夺命危机，众靓女CID全力追缉炸弹狂徒……最后靓女CID得到前军火专家博士（王晶饰）的帮助，得以化险为夷，生、沙也在危难中始知自己最爱是谁，决顶改变追女习惯，并成功解救富豪被掳案件......
