剧情简介
一位接连在票房失利的新晋导演阿星（张国荣饰），在失业之余，面对生活困难及前路茫茫时，忽然获得一个机会要拍摄一部低俗题材的商业片。向有抱负的星，对老板不合理的要求，当初十分抗拒，然而不得不面对现实，在好友监制阿虫（罗家英饰）的帮忙下，开始拍戏。几组戏拍完后，往看毛片，发觉全片充满个人风格、模糊不清的影像，还有梦娇（舒琪饰）差劲的演技。监制对其极为不满，星意志消沉，在女友阿May（莫文蔚饰）的鼓励下，再重投工作。但好景不常，正当星开香槟庆祝成电影之后，片厂内突然发生大火，星的心血毁于一旦[1]。
