　　如今已经年过花甲严守成（王永光 饰）好不容易将三个儿子都拉扯长大，人老心不老的他不觉又开始琢磨开自己的爱情大事。原来他中年丧偶，之前一直围着孩子转，此时他惦念着从小一起长大的林婶子（李小嘉 饰），但两家儿女和街坊的议论让他裹足不前。林婶儿的女儿兰兰（柳岩 饰）则提出让老严颇感为难的结婚条件。与此同时，老严家的孩子们也不让人省心。大儿子大儿子子华（陈英俊 饰）炒股成魔，无法自拔，次子子富（宋谷 饰）光顾着给别人接生，自家迟迟膝下无子；小儿子子贵（彭宇 饰）北漂打拼，偏偏又打肿脸充胖子。　　老严渴望已久的晚春，最终能否到来？
